Fibromyalgia Treatment

Just as fibromyalgia symptoms are very multifaceted, and incorporate different body tissues, so should the treatments. Treatment for fibromyalgia are very comprehensive and usually involve more than one health care provider including: physicians, chiropractors, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and psychiatrists.

Perhaps it sounds strange, but I noticed when I had a cold and took cold remedies that contained Pseudoephedrine, I felt much better. I now take one in the morning and one at night. I also take anti-histamine tablets. I've also found spicy foods, chocolate and anything with vinegar in it makes me a lot sicker. Also, no preservatives. This diet has helped me enormously. Pain is rare and not as bad.

Tramadol is a med that really seems to help. Cymbalta for the nerve pain and Klonopin for various reasons. I have had my right knee buckle and drop me to the ground, luckily at home. Simple tasks like showers are difficult and scary so it's more baths lol. Steps are a real challenge. In the cold my legs wobble and barely work if at all. FM is life altering.

I hope you will be compassionate with your response, with all your knowledge of FM.

Hi everyone, i am new to this site, i have had developing FM along with tissue degeneration and several disc bulges in the neck.for thirteen years and have had most treatments available from a GP and am due to have Cortizone injections from December of this year for pain relief and to strengthen my neck and spine from the pain i endure. I have five children that i adored ranging from 23 to 13 four girls and a boy. my journey with FM has been soul destroying as i have attempted to continue being the care giver and support network single handedly for my children, and managed to acquire a diploma in person centred counselling in this time:However i am exhausted both physically and mentally now. My children have become overwhelmed by my disability and three of them have found alternative accommodation from the Social services. i feel broken hearted and the support i have had of the government DLA is lower rate care which barely helps me with the support i require. I am appalled with the government as they are aware we FM sufferers have been infected by a bio film bacteria, and have known this for some time, they are also aware that THC which is in Marijuana cures FM along with many other diseases, U tube is a good starting point for research. Marijuana has been legalised in Canada,California and Amsterdam as far as i know as they argued the medicinal purposes and the inhumanity of banning such natural source of medication that can have such medicinal purposes as even to cure AIDS. I may come across as furious because I have along with many of you endured a lot of unnecessary pain. Gp's are aware of this but have to follow government legislations and can only supply what they feel are extreme cases such as cancer in late stages with medicinal hemp. The government only restrict this medication because they cant patent it: due to it is a natural herb that is easily grown in ones back yard and does not belong to anyone. Mother earth gave it to us: It has many other uses to which causes a substantial threat to the government as they stand to lose a lot of money in Taxes if they should legalise it. My wish is not to rock the boat or to frustrate anyone, however i do not feel strong or well enough to approach this matter alone and am looking to find ways to approach the government with enough evidence and backup as possible, so we can all start to live a healthy functional life again. Please do your research before responding asi understand this information could upset and frustrate many of you. A good start would be the (Rick Simmons Story): to research those that are benefiting from THC in Canada already and how they managed to convince the courts, and if anyone knows a solicitor that would argue our case this would too be helpful. My apologetics if i have caused any upset to anyone, my only intention was to share the information I have come across so we can hopefully fight for our right to get back to our natural way of being. Thank you for taking the time and i wish you well.

BUT ONCE I STOPPED THE GABAPENT EVERYTHING WENT AWAY!! SOO PLEASE RESEARCH YOUR MEDICATIONS BEFORE YOU SEE THE DOCTOR!!!
