Does anyone have any suggestions for exersizes to do during the winter months. I have been doing water exersizes in my pool & walking but it's getting to COLD!

Water aerobics at a YMCA or Local pool is always good or water walking. Also, my rhuematologist suggests biking, so maybe an indoor stationary bike or tred mill. I am having a hard time heading back to exercizing it seems as though I wax and wane.

Really, your doctor said to ride a bike? I don't know if my knees, hips, & bottom could stand that! I do think water exercise benifits though, because it seemed to help me this summer. I have my own outdoor pool but I can't usse it any more this year. It's not heated!! I hadn't thought of the "Y " though! Thanks!

Have you tried basic isometric exercise? It's like resistance stretching and it's worked wonders for me. I got an S-curved message bar that doubles as a resistance stretching tool for my arms and even my hips. For hips, I sit with it across my lap, with one ankle over the opposite knee, then push down while pulling my knee up. There are a ton of things you can do and it only takes a few moments. I'm always using walls, doorframes, etc. when I'm out about ;-)
