Onset of Fibromyalgia
1 Replies
Vicki Grant - November 17

I had a back injury at work August 2013 and breast implant out in May 2013...I was emotionally well with the explantation...it was not an issue. I was exercising regularly. I feel that all my body pain was rather sudden...so I explained to my GP that I am not yet prepared to accept fibromyalgia...(I don't deny this illness exists because I have a few close friends who do have confirmed diagnosis).

My GP makes statements like: well you have degenerative disc disease, it's part of the aging process (I am a 55 year old nurse completing a certificate in gerontological nursing and accepting pain or stating that pain is a result of aging is not appropriate). I don't understand how fibromyalgia can simply exist in 3 months. I would truly appetite the opinions of members of this group. Thank you for your time...

Hello Vicki, I also worked a couple jobs, amazon, server, and hairstylist, and played coed softball. One night I fell at a game. Over the next month, the pain grew more and more, and it was horrible. I went out on temp disability, and 10 months later, I have been to many doctors and have fibro, DDD,DJD, and cervical stenosis. This year has been hard emotional and physically. And never goes away! I am 42.
