I am new in this forum. I have been suffering from pain in all the joints and my doctor said I might have Fibromyalgia and prescribed medication. He didn't even press the pressure points in my body. I want to find a doctor that specializes in FMS before taking the medication. I'm in Toronto. Does anyone know of a doctor that I can go to.

Hi zeehr1. I am brand new on this forum. I have had fibro many years. I don't feel like I am totally up to date on new info but here's what I have experienced.
There are no FMS specialists that I know of but there are doctors who have seen many fibro patients and like to take new ones. In my area the doctor that is most welcoming to fibro patients is a rheumatologist. Second in line is a neurologist.
When I was looking for a doctor I called various doctors offices. I asked them if they treat fibromyalgia patients. I was surprised at how effective that was. If they acted like they didn't want to talk to me or didn't know what I meant I ruled them out. It kept me from having the awful experience of going to a doctor who didn't believe in FMS or one who didn't want to take the time to listen to me. It lead me to a doctor that was very helpful. I Hope this helps you. I would love to hear how things go for you.
