When fibro isn't...
Phrederica12 - December 6

I come back here every few years to tell my story, hoping it might help others. I had a repetitive stress injury, and started taking Advil for it. I started getting pain in all four quadrants of the body, stiffness, fatigue, brain fog. After the usual 1,000 tests, I was diagnosed with fibro. Once I got the fibro diagnosis, no doctor questioned it. I was able to keep working, but I was in pain every day. Sometimes limping from stiffness. After 8 years, I found out on my own that it was the Advil. A known side effect of Advil is muscle pain. I stopped taking Advil, and I have been fine ever since, almost 20 years now. My advice is to question everything! Until they have a definitive test, many people like me are going to be diagnosed incorrectly. Wishing all of you good days.
